As part of the HCPC Fitness To Practice (FTP) department, we have established a new team to investigate concerns where a registrant has gained entry onto our register through Fraudulently or Incorrect Entry (FIE).

About the Role and Scope of Job

We have developed a new team which conducts investigations into concerns where a registrant may have fraudulently or incorrectly gained entry onto our register (“FIE”). This scope of this role is to support and contribute to the effective management of FIE cases across the team. This will involve providing a variety of case support and document management responsibilities.

 

Purpose and Main Duties

  • There are 4 paralegals in the team, and this role will involve working with them to provide assistance in effective case progression, case management and investigation across their workload.
  • Support the small team of paralegals to assist them with the effective and timely investigations into allegations of fraudulent entry on to the HCPC register
  • Case work and document management on the case management system, ensuring case information is up to date, accurate and accessible in line with Data Protection Policy.
  • Dealing with and responding to casework correspondence
  • Preparing bundles for interim order applications, interim order reviews, instructions to counsel and final hearings documentation before the Investigating Committee
  • Reviewing, redacting and assisting in the preparation of the service of bundles for all parties in regulatory hearings
  • Liaising with the Health & Care Professions Tribunal Service to follow up on matters relating to hearing schedules.

Location: Hybrid working with a mandatory attendance of 1-2 days a week at our office in London
