Job description
We’re hiring a Digital Communications Officer at an exciting time as we refresh our brand and expand the team. You’ll help shape how we do this by bringing your own ideas and creative flair to a team that’s making a difference.
This role would suit someone with a good mix of content design and editing skills across web, graphics, documents and video, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and website CMS. Maybe you have a digital media degree, or have worked in a similar role before, or have built up your skills as a freelancer. If you can show us the work, we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who is confident with image and video editing tools, who communicates clearly, and understands how content needs to be adapted for different audiences and digital channels, including websites, email and social media. You’ll be involved in creating engaging content, utilising user insight and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, you’ll support continual improvements to the user experience and our digital activity.
Your responsibilities will include
* Creating content through a wide variety of mediums which aligns with our brand identity and enhances brand awareness
* Analysing channel performance, optimising the user experience and implementing any improvements using tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio and Power BI dashboards.
* Supporting the day-to-day operations of our digital channels, including our website, social media, intranet and email campaigns
* Assisting in the development of user personas, key user journeys and task flows. Ensure digital content and assets align with HCPC brand guidelines, accessibility standards and web best practice
* Support search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) through the creation and maintenance of well-structured and discoverable digital content
* Working with external suppliers to help in the production of materials in alternative formats (e.g. braille, audio, other languages)
Person specification
We are looking for candidates that have:
* Designed and produced digital content for a wide variety of channels
* Managed content production processes from briefing to publication
* Monitored the performance of posts and using tools to compile data
* Used analytics and insights to improve user experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Effective teamwork and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
* Sound prioritisation of workload and ability to navigate competing priorities
* A strong understanding of image and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere and Canva
* Knowledge of best practice for, and how to adapt to, different digital communications channels and web design principles for accessibility and optimisation.
